The Spanish mackerel are fierce at the moment providing plenty of action and now with the black marlin and sailfish also, there are great days to be had. On Wednesday, fishing with Wayne and Clare, after bagging out on Spanish mackerel, on the troll home we had a double header of a black marlin and sailfish with another sailfish also trying to eat one of the baits, hooked the black and the sail with both going in different directions, only to lose the sail but caught the black which was Wayne’s first marlin and a great way to finish the day. With good blue water pushing in it should provide excellent light tackle conditions for the months ahead.
